Can I visit my camper during the day?
Parents are welcome to watch any in-water practices at the Peak Health Aquatic Center from the designated spectator stands. However, parents or guardians are not permitted in locker rooms, on deck during sessions, or during meal times.
Can I watch my swimmer during practice/workout times?
Yes! Parents are encouraged to observe water practices from the designated viewing areas.
Can I call and talk to my camper?
Campers are permitted to bring cell phones to camp and may use them during free time. For emergencies, parents can contact the Camp Director using the phone number provided at check-in.
Can I contact the counselor in charge of my camper?
Counselors do not share their personal phone numbers. If you need to contact your camper’s counselor, please use the emergency number provided at check-in.
Can I send my camper something in the mail?
Camp Mail will not be available for the 2025 WVU Swim Camp Sessions.
Should my swimmer have competitive experience to attend?
The WVU Swim Camp is open on a first-come, first-served basis to individuals of all ages and skill levels. While prior competitive experience is not required, it is highly encouraged to maximize the benefits of the camp.
Is there a waiting list for sessions that are full?
Yes. When a session is full, an online waiting list will automatically be created. There is no fee to join the waiting list. If a spot opens, you will be notified via email and given the option to accept or decline. Space availability is not guaranteed.
How are refunds processed?
Refund requests must be submitted via email to wvuswimclinic@gmail.com. Please fill out the refund form provided on the website. Refunds are subject to the clinic's cancellation policy and may include processing fees. Each request will be reviewed, and decisions will be communicated within 7 business days.
What should I do if I find out I cannot attend my camp session?
Notify the Camp Director at wvuswimclinic@gmail.com as soon as possible if you are unable to attend. Options for credit or refunds will depend on the timing and circumstances of the request.
Can campers with pre-existing injuries still attend camp?
Yes. However, campers should be aware that the camp activities are physically demanding. Notify the Camp Director before check-in if the injury occurred after medical forms were submitted. Coaches may adjust training activities to accommodate the camper’s needs. A Certified Athletic Trainer will be on-site 24/7 to assist.
My camper takes medication. How will that be handled?
Our Certified Athletic Trainer will oversee medication administration and assist with medical devices as needed. Medications should be submitted to the Athletic Trainer during check-in. All medical information will remain confidential.
